Books to Read During Quarantine

The new year is meant to bring with it a glimmer of hope for a better life. For a lot of us, it means new promises reinforced with plans to become the best versions of ourselves. Yet our 2020 vision has turned somewhat blurry. As we find ourselves in these uncertain times, we are almost desperate to seek a semblance of normalcy in our daily routines at home. For me, I find my solace in books. That's why I think it's only appropriate to share a few books I truly loved reading and highly recommend.

Innisfree Skincare Haul and Routine

Glass skin, snail extract, and clay masks... these are some buzzwords I've been hearing recently whenever my friend's topics circle around Korean skincare. At first, I was hesitant but my curiosity finally got the best of me. I'm officially on the Korean skincare bandwagon with a new haul of Innisfree products. Spoiler alert! I'm loving all the products so far.

Art Supplies

I once read a quote that said, "The earth without 'art' is just 'eh'." As witty as the quote is, it truly resonates with a lot of people, myself included. I have never studied art, save for the required classes I took in high school. However, I always enjoyed art class and I still try to find time to draw and paint in college. Despite me being an amateur at it, I recently started getting back into drawing and painting. So I thought it would be nice to feature some of the supplies that I use, and give you commentary on them from a beginner's perspective.

August Favorites

“Sure, everything is ending," Jules said, "but not yet.” ― Jennifer EganA Visit from the Goon Squad

Hello there. Yes, I'm quite aware that my last post was in January of 2016 and I regret not being on my space of the internet for so long. However I'm back and here to stay. I think of this post as a promise to myself and to my readers that I'm going to commit to my blog. So what better way to get reacquainted with blogging and to catch up with all of you than to give you a glimpse on the things I've been loving recently.

Lovely Goodies from 2015

It's a new year. A clean slate. I love this feeling. Although it's only a day's difference, I find it enthralling that a new chapter in my life is starting. It's one tiny piece of childhood magic that I've kept with me, even at 18 years old. To mark this chapter of my life, I would like to introduce to you some of my belongings that I've collected or received over the past months, which I will bring with me to the new year. Let's go!

Diptyque Candles

Have you ever wondered about the secret behind peace? It must have crossed your mind at some point. I can't stress enough that all you need to do is to keep it simple. Essentialism does not come easily. To quote one of my favourite books, The Little Prince, "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye". Sometimes, we need assistance from the little things that grant joy and happiness. One of these little things is a candle.

My Favourite Perfumes

It's been quite a while since I last posted! The truth is, I've been so busy with my summer semester before my sophomore year of college that I haven't gotten around to sitting down and writing a proper post. However, I finally found the time to do so, which I'm extremely happy and proud about. Without further ado, I present to you my perfume collection, which consists of these pretty little bottles already on their way to being empties.

A Little Life Update

Summer went by quite slowly for the months of April and May. However, I am completely sure that for the months to come, I’ll be living life in the fast lane. I just want to leave a marker here on this beautiful lazy summer day before life catches up with me.

A Few Of My Favourite Things

When the dog bites, when the bee stings, when I'm feeling sad... I simply remember my favourite things, and then I don't feel so bad. This catchy song was truly one of my favourite tunes to hum to whilst growing up. I'm singing it now while recollecting the things in my room that I tend to pick up the most.
